Johnathan Lane, a 23-year-old African American male, was tragically shot and killed on July 28, 2016, in the Gresham neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois. The incident occurred around 10:15 p.m. in the 7700 block of South Loomis Boulevard. Lane was with a 25-year-old man when an assailant exited a nearby white van and opened fire.
