Nahmar T. Holmes, a 23-year-old African American male, was tragically shot and killed on September 10, 2016, in Chicago, Illinois. Holmes was outside his home in the Brainerd neighborhood on the South Side when two individuals approached him and opened fire, striking him multiple times in the torso. He was rushed to South Shore Hospital, where he was pronounced dead 19 minutes later.
