Kennatay K. Leavell, a 31-year-old African-American man, was tragically shot to death on July 28, 2017, in Chicago, IL. The incident occurred early in the morning near the former Cabrini-Green public housing projects on the Near North Side. According to Chicago Police, Kennatay was shot multiple times in the face and was pronounced dead at the scene at 3:09 a.m. He lived in the North Side Rogers Park neighborhood.
