Crevaul Smith, a 39-year-old African American male, was fatally shot on October 19, 2019, in Chicago, Illinois. The incident occurred around 9:10 p.m. while Smith was standing on the sidewalk in the 2900 block of West Harrison Street in the Lawndale neighborhood. According to police reports, shots were fired, striking Smith in the back and buttocks. He was subsequently transported to Stroger Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
