Ahmad Cathey, a 41-year-old African American man, was tragically shot and killed on June 22, 2020, in the Lawndale neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois. The incident occurred early in the morning at approximately 4:26 a.m. while Ahmad was on the street in the 3800 block of West Harrison Street. According to police reports, Ahmad was shot in the face and succumbed to his injuries about an hour later at Stroger Hospital.
