Jerome Hawkins, a 35-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on September 13, 2020, in Chicago, Illinois. The incident occurred in the Englewood neighborhood, specifically in the 6100 block of South Throop Street. On that fateful day, Jerome was among a group of individuals gathered on a porch when two assailants emerged from a passing vehicle and opened fire.
