Delmar McPhail Jr., a 23-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on March 27, 2021, in River Grove, Illinois. The incident occurred in the early hours of the morning while McPhail and others were riding a party bus. The bus was stopped at the intersection of River Road and Belmont Avenue when someone in a vehicle fired shots at it. McPhail was one of four individuals shot during the attack, and he succumbed to his injuries.
