Michael Saunders, a 42-year-old African American male, was tragically shot to death on June 21, 2021, in Calumet Park, Illinois. Saunders, who had previously been wrongfully convicted and later exonerated in a 1994 rape and murder case, was found with a bullet wound to the head.
