In the winter of 2008, a violent incident in Baltimore claimed the life of Troy Brown, a 45-year-old Black male. On the night of Sunday, November 30, 2008, Brown was in the 4000 block of Oakford Avenue when he was fatally shot. The shooting also resulted in the deaths of two other individuals at the same location: 26-year-old Darren Davis and 14-year-old Perrish Parker. Brown was rushed to the Maryland Shock Trauma Center, but ultimately succumbed to his injuries.
