On May 28, 2015, Kester Anthony Browne, an 8-year-old boy, was found dead alongside his mother, Jennifer Jeffrey Browne, in their Southwest Baltimore home. Both had been shot in the head. The incident occurred while Kester was at home sick from school, and it is believed that he was trying to call 911 when he was fatally shot.
