In the fall of 2008, the discovery of human remains in a Baltimore rowhouse began to unravel the tragic story of Trina Johnson, a 27-year-old Black/African American woman. Her body was found in October of that year, though it wouldn't be until December 24, 2009, that her case was officially added to the city's grim tally of homicides. The cause of her death was determined to be asphyxiation, a violent end to a life that had been in peril for some time.
