Barakaat Kareem Faruq

In the quiet of a February evening in Baltimore, the life of a young man was tragically cut short. Barakaat Kareem Faruq, a 20-year-old Black male, was shot in the head on February 10, 2009, in the 2100 block of Presbury Street. The incident occurred at approximately 8:57 p.m. as he was sitting in front of a residence. He was rushed to a nearby hospital but succumbed to his injuries a half-hour later.
