Sergeant Marlene Rittmanic, a 49-year-old white female, tragically lost her life on December 29, 2021, in Bourbonnais, Illinois. She was a dedicated member of the Bradley Police Department, having served in law enforcement for 21 years. On the night of her death, Sergeant Rittmanic and her partner, Officer Tyler Bailey, responded to a call at a Comfort Inn hotel regarding dogs barking in an unattended vehicle.
