Montrell Scott, a 24-year-old African American male from Freeport, Illinois, tragically lost his life on February 10, 2022. The incident occurred on West Dexter Street, where Montrell was found with multiple gunshot wounds. Despite being rushed to a local hospital and subsequently airlifted to Rockford, he succumbed to his injuries the following day.
