Tavian Petersen-Brown, a 26-year-old African American man from Davenport, Iowa, was fatally shot on October 22, 2022, during a party in Rock Island, Illinois. The incident occurred around 12:24 a.m. at a residence in the 1000 block of 14th Street, where Tavian was attending a gathering with his girlfriend and her family. Upon arrival, police found Tavian suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to a local hospital, where he later died.
