Linner Tyrone Hawkins, a 44-year-old African American man, tragically lost his life on November 20, 2022, in Chicago, Illinois. Hawkins was standing with a group of people in the 5800 block of West Augusta Boulevard when an unknown assailant opened fire around 11:40 p.m. He sustained a gunshot wound to his chest and was transported to Stroger Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
