Patrolman Anthony Edward Jenkins, a 25-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on April 29, 1980, in Meigs, Georgia. Jenkins was shot and killed shortly before midnight, just before the end of his shift. He was found and transported to Archibald Memorial Hospital, where he succumbed to his wounds four hours later.
