Police Officer Christopher Bieker May, a 27-year-old white male, tragically lost his life on August 19, 1991, in Fulton County, Georgia. Officer May was responding to a shooting incident in a residential neighborhood on River Valley Road in Sandy Springs. Initially, the responding officers believed it was a drive-by shooting. However, it was later discovered that a woman had been shot while sitting in her yard by a mentally ill next-door neighbor wielding a high-powered rifle.
