In the spring of 2011, a life was violently cut short on the streets of Baltimore. Edward Auston, a 31-year-old Black male, became another victim of the city's ongoing struggle with violence. On the night of April 19th, at approximately 11:20 p.m., the sound of gunfire pierced the air in the 500 block of North Schroeder Street. When the echoes faded, Auston was left critically wounded.
