On a late spring evening in Atlanta, the life of 31-year-old Ernest Baker Jr. was cut short by gunfire. The male victim was at a rooming house on West Lake Avenue on May 28, 2018, when a violent encounter that had started hours earlier reached its tragic conclusion.
