Robert "Bob" Bettison, a 79-year-old white male, tragically lost his life on October 5, 2018, in Pelham, Georgia. Bob Bettison was the owner of a local grocery store, a well-known figure in his community. On the day of his death, he was found with a gunshot wound after an armed robbery at his store. Despite being rushed to Archbold Memorial Hospital in Thomasville, he succumbed to his injuries later that afternoon. The incident was immediately ruled a homicide by law enforcement.
