Edmond Dwight Irvin, a 25-year-old African American male and Deputy Sheriff from Palmetto, Georgia, tragically lost his life on April 30, 2019. The incident occurred at his residence in Palmetto, where he was off-duty at the time. According to reports, Edmond Irvin was involved in a physical altercation with his 17-year-old cousin, Danny Long. The altercation escalated, resulting in Long shooting Irvin with a handgun.
