In the cold of a January evening in Baltimore, 62-year-old Bruce Royster became the city's first homicide victim of 2012. On Tuesday, January 3rd, shortly before 10 p.m., police responded to a call in the 4000 block of Edgewood Road in the East Arlington neighborhood of Northwest Baltimore. There, they discovered Royster inside a vehicle, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to his upper body. He was rushed to a nearby hospital but succumbed to his injuries.
