In the early hours of a Saturday morning in May 2012, tragedy befell 22-year-old Lanell Orlando Ausby in Baltimore, Maryland. While driving in the Edgecomb Circle area of North Baltimore, a neighborhood known for its dangers, gunfire suddenly erupted. Struck by multiple bullets to his torso, Ausby managed to speed away from the scene in a desperate attempt to find help.
