Gary Lee Jones, a 37-year-old white male from Lizella, Georgia, was found dead in the woods near Hamlin and Holley Road on August 15, 2022. The Bibb County Coroner, Leon Jones, confirmed that Gary Lee Jones died by suicide. The incident began when deputies responded to a call initially reported as a "burglary in progress" at a residence on Holley Road.
