Acting Night Marshal Jeff Jones, aged 27, tragically lost his life on November 20, 1903, following a violent incident in Starke, Florida. On the night of November 19, 1903, Jones responded to a disturbance at Crabb's Saloon, where reports indicated that a gun had been fired inside the establishment. Upon his arrival, Jones was shot twice by an individual wielding a pistol. Despite being quickly taken to a nearby home and receiving medical attention from a doctor, Jones succumbed to his injuries ...
