Henry Clayton, a 35-year-old African American man, was one of the victims in a tragic mass murder that occurred on July 27, 1977, in Carol City, Florida. This incident was part of a series of murders known as the Carol City murders, which were perpetrated by John Errol Ferguson, along with his accomplices Marvin Francois and Beauford White. On that fateful day, Ferguson and his accomplices entered a reputed drug house in Carol City, where they tied up eight individuals and executed them by
shooting each one in the head. Henry Clayton was among the six victims who died in this brutal attack, which at the time was the largest mass murder in Miami-Dade County's history.
The investigation into the murders revealed that Ferguson, Francois, and White were responsible for a string of violent crimes, including multiple murders, rapes, and robberies.
