Saxton Randall Jones, a 47-year-old white male, tragically died on May 1, 1995, in Tallahassee, Florida. Captain Jones was a dedicated member of the Florida Highway Patrol, having served for 24 years. His career began on July 7, 1969, and he was part of the 36th recruit class in Tallahassee. Throughout his career, he was stationed in various locations, including Fort Lauderdale, Naples, Lake City, Marianna, Quincy, Panama City, Madison, and Tallahassee.
