In 2015, a Pasco County jury recommended the death penalty for Jenkins after convicting him of the 2006 drug-related slayings of Derek Pieper and Raymond Veluz. The jury's recommendation came after Jenkins was found guilty of forcing the teenagers into a car, driving them to a remote area, and shooting them in the back.
