Death by Force

Devante Barnes, aged 21, was found dead on December 12, 2013, in Baltimore, Maryland. His body was discovered in an alley located in the 4500 block of Fernhill Avenue, where he had sustained severe head trauma. It was unclear whether the trauma was the result of a direct assault or another form of violence. Devante's death added to the growing tally of homicides in Baltimore in 2013, a year marked by a significant increase in violent crime and gun-related deaths throughout the city.
