Nicole Grier, a 19-year-old African American woman, was tragically shot to death on December 30, 2013, in Lauderhill, Florida. On that fateful night, Nicole had just picked up her 11-month-old son from a babysitter's house at 3320 Northwest 18th Street. As she was strapping her son into his car seat, two cars, a white Lexus and a black BMW, approached.
