Mario Monroy Hughes, a 31-year-old male of Salvadoran descent, tragically passed away on January 31, 2014, in Moore Haven, Florida. Born on July 12, 1982, in Ahuachapán, El Salvador, Mario grew up in Moore Haven and graduated from Moore Haven High School in 2000. He served in the United States Army, participating in the Iraqi Freedom War, and was an active member of the United States Army Reserves at the time of his death.
