In the cold winter of 2014, a young life was tragically cut short on the streets of Baltimore. Donnell Saunders, a 25-year-old African American man, was fatally shot on the evening of Tuesday, February 11th. The incident occurred in the 1500 block of Pennsylvania Avenue, a well-known thoroughfare in the city. Just moments after stepping out of a residence, Saunders was struck by gunfire. The attack plunged the local community into a state of shock and sorrow.
