Steven Matthew Jackson Jr., a 26-year-old African American male from Melbourne, Florida, was found mortally wounded on December 29, 2014, in Rockledge, Florida. He was discovered inside a vehicle on Virginia Avenue, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Despite being transported to a local medical facility, Jackson succumbed to his injuries shortly after arrival.

The investigation into Steven Jackson Jr.'s death led to the arrest of Ricky Adams Glasco, a 41-year-old male from Rockledge. Glasco was apprehended by the Brevard County Sheriff's Office GAMEOVER Task Force on January 1, 2015, at his residence on Canterbury Lane in Rockledge. He was charged with first-degree premeditated murder, robbery with a firearm, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. According to reports, Jackson was shot approximately 16 times at close range. Before his death, Jackson was able to identify Glasco as his attacker, which significantly aided the investigation.
The Brevard County Grand Jury subsequently issued a first-degree premeditated murder indictment against Ricky Adams Glasco. The grand jury also returned additional charges of robbery with a firearm and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
