Duane Mitchell, aged 53, was found dead on August 15, 2014, in Baltimore, Maryland. Authorities responded to the 3700 block of Springdale Avenue in the northwest part of the city, where they discovered Mitchell unresponsive with visible signs of trauma. The investigation was immediately taken over by homicide detectives, as it appeared Mitchell had been the victim of violence.
