In the summer of 2025, a life was tragically cut short in Baltimore. On the evening of June 30th, police were called to the 700 block of North Kenwood Avenue for a report of a stabbing. There, they found a man suffering from a stab wound. He was rushed to a nearby hospital but ultimately succumbed to his injuries. The victim was identified as 46-year-old Donte Chase, a Black male.
The investigation into Chase's death quickly moved forward. A few days later, on July 3rd, a 37-year-old woman named Sherrice Parker turned herself in to the Homicide Detectives at the Baltimore Police Headquarters. Authorities announced that Parker was arrested in connection with what they described as a domestic-related fatal stabbing. She was subsequently transported to the Central Booking Intake Facility and formally charged with first-degree murder.
It is worth noting that the name provided in the initial inquiry, Brian Allen Chase, corresponds to a different and older homicide case in Baltimore. In 2018, a man named Montana Barronette was found guilty of several murders, one of which was that of a man named Brian Chase. A 2016 newsletter from the Baltimore City State's Attorney's Office also lists a Brian Allen Chase as a homicide victim. This earlier case involving Brian Chase is separate from the 2025 death of Donte Chase.
