Johnell Richo, a 67-year-old African American male, was tragically found murdered on May 2, 2016, in Fernandina Beach, Florida. Richo, a well-known and respected Army veteran, was discovered in the yard of his home at the intersection of 12th and Gum streets. The police were alerted to the scene following reports of gunfire early that morning. Upon arrival, officers found Richo's body, and it was later confirmed that he had been shot.
