Darryl Roman Burt II, a 29-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on June 12, 2016, during the horrific mass shooting at the Pulse nightclub in Orlando, Florida. Burt, who was from Jacksonville, Florida, was among the 49 victims killed in what became one of the deadliest mass shootings in U.S. history.
