Michael John "Mike" Oehme, aged 57, tragically lost his life on January 6, 2017, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Mike, originally from Council Bluffs, Iowa, was a licensed surveyor and co-owner of Boundaryline Surveys in Omaha. He was in Fort Lauderdale with his wife, Kari Oehme, preparing to embark on a cruise when the incident occurred.
