On August 3, 2019, 64-year-old Susan Clark was found dead in her home in Safety Harbor, Florida. The Pinellas County Sheriff's Office responded to a welfare check at her residence on Flanders Way around 2:30 a.m. after receiving a call from a friend of Susan's son, John Clark, who was in Illinois. John had reportedly contacted his friend and confessed to killing his mother. Upon arrival, deputies discovered Susan Clark's body in the living room, having suffered a fatal gunshot wound.
