On April 21, 2020, Saul Pellot Cortes, a 34-year-old Hispanic male, was found dead in Apopka, Florida. Deputies from the Orange County Sheriff's Office responded to an emergency call just before 1 p.m. and discovered Cortes suffering from a gunshot wound along Mt. Plymouth Road. Despite the efforts of the Apopka Fire Department, Cortes was pronounced dead at the scene.
