Alexis Hightower, a 27-year-old African American woman, tragically lost her life on May 14, 2020, in Opa-locka, Florida. The incident occurred in the early morning hours when Alexis and a male companion were sitting in a black Mazda parked in an alleyway. According to witnesses, an unknown assailant approached the vehicle and opened fire, striking both occupants.
