On June 29, 2020, 26-year-old Sawson Owens, an African American male, was tragically shot and killed in Panama City, Florida. The incident occurred around 10:30 PM at a FEMA trailer park located at the intersection of MLK Boulevard and 15th Street. When officers arrived at the scene, they discovered multiple shell casings scattered across the roadway. Owens was immediately rushed to the hospital, but unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries shortly after.
