On November 30, 2021, 52-year-old Steven Smolensky, a retired deputy sheriff from the Citrus County Sheriff’s Office, was tragically killed in Weirsdale, Florida. Smolensky, who had served his community for 25 years, was working for Suburban Propane and was at a residence to deliver propane when the incident occurred.
