On April 3, 2022, 16-year-old Christopher Leroy Broad Jr. tragically lost his life in Belleview, Florida. The incident occurred when Broad and his friend, 17-year-old Joshua Vining, were taking turns shooting at each other while wearing a vest that contained a form of body armor. According to the Belleview Police Department, the teens were engaged in this dangerous activity when Vining shot Broad in the chest, resulting in a fatal injury.
