Trevaj Cheek, an 18-year-old from Atlantic Beach, Florida, tragically lost his life on August 14, 2022, in a shooting incident at an apartment complex on Orchid Street. The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office responded to the scene early that morning after receiving a call about a shooting. Upon arrival, they found Cheek suffering from at least one gunshot wound.
