In the early hours of a Tuesday in June, the life of Travon William Arthur Barnett, a 23-year-old male, was tragically cut short on the streets of Baltimore, Maryland. On June 14, 2016, at approximately 3:20 a.m., police were called to Kirk Avenue in Northeast Baltimore following reports of gunfire. Upon arrival, they discovered Travon suffering from a gunshot wound to his chest. He was rushed to a nearby hospital, but after a nine-hour fight for his life, he succumbed to his injuries.
