On a summer evening in Baltimore, tragedy struck in the 3400 block of Elmora Avenue. On June 26, 2016, a 34-year-old Black / African American man named Davon Booth was sitting on some steps when an unknown individual approached him. Without warning, the suspect opened fire, fatally wounding Booth. First responders found him conscious and breathing at the scene, and he was rushed to Johns Hopkins Hospital for medical attention.
