On the night of October 29, 2022, Domingo D. Mendez, a 41-year-old Hispanic man, was fatally shot in Bradenton, Florida. The incident occurred around 11:40 p.m. in the 2200-block of 9th St. W., shortly after Mendez left the La Barkania Bar and Restaurant. Responding officers found Mendez with severe injuries, and he was transported to a local hospital as a trauma alert. Despite medical efforts, Mendez succumbed to his injuries on October 31, 2022.
