Bethsaida "Betsy" Robles, a 45-year-old mother from New Port Richey, Florida, tragically lost her life on November 1, 2022. The incident occurred in the early hours of the morning when a masked intruder broke into her home on Menifee Court. According to reports, the suspect, described as a large adult male wearing a black skull mask, kicked in the front door and entered the house. A woman who was sleeping on the couch in the front room was awakened by the noise and saw the intruder. The suspect pointed a gun at her before proceeding to the bedroom where Bethsaida was sleeping with her two children. Despite her pleas for mercy, the intruder shot her twice, leading to her death shortly after being taken to a nearby hospital.

The Pasco County Sheriff's Office has been actively investigating the case, but as of now, the murder remains unsolved. Authorities believe that the shooting was not a random act, as the suspect seemed to know the layout of the home and specifically targeted Bethsaida. The suspect fled the scene in an unknown vehicle, and despite extensive efforts, no arrests have been made. The community and Bethsaida's family continue to seek justice and answers for this horrific crime.

Bethsaida was remembered by friends and family as a devoted mother and a beloved member of the community. Her best friend, Marie Hicks, described her as a caring and selfless individual who always put her family first. The trauma of witnessing such a violent act has left a lasting impact on her children and those who knew her. The Pasco County Sheriff's Office continues to urge anyone with information about the case to come forward, hoping that new leads will eventually bring the perpetrator to justice.
